On Tuesday 9th May the under 13 and Under 15 Girls cricket teams played their first tournament of the season at St Lukes. The girls arrived excited and ready to show the other schools how its done. The U13 started the tournament taking on a more experienced Dawlish but showed that practice payed off taking a narrow victory by two runs. They then went onto play St Peters the most formidable of opposition and batted well giving the opposition a challenging total to beat. Yet again Tiverton came away the better side on the day. Their last game was against St Lukes whose bowling lest our girls with little options of where to place the ball but Emmie Curtis and Lauren Buckingham batted like superstars and kept the 6's coming in.

The U15 on the other hand faced St Peters to start who make up a majority of the Devon side but held their own against some beautiful bowling finishing with a loss but learning alot. They then faced Sidmouth where our batters saved the day with Emily Trumps stong variety of shots and power clearing the boundary line time after time. Finally thy faced St Peters B team where the girls really showed what team work is all about and their slick fielding gave the St Peters girls no chance of getting runs. The girls finished on a high with Lissy Parsons and Ruby Toogood batting to take the win.
