Celebrating the YOTO Carnegie Book Awards

Five year 7 student and 5 year 9 students attended Blundell’s School today to celebrate the announcement of the YOTO Carnegie Book Awards.

This group of 10 students has been attending a weekly book club, reading the short listed books, and the trip today allowed students to discuss the books with students from Blundell’s school and Wellington School.

Book related activities and lunch followed a creative writing workshop led by a local author. We had a fabulous time and guessed the overall winner of the awards – The Blue Book of Nebo. A full write up and pictures will follow in PosiTIV magazine.
