Tiverton High School

End of Season Trip

We took 28 Yr7/8 netballers to Bath University to watch a Superleague game between Team Bath and Celtic Dragons. It exceeded our expectations!  There was such a buzz in the stadium.  Play was dynamic and the game was tense, and our students got to see the incredible facilities on offer at uni.

Maya G (Yr8) has described the experience below:

On Friday the netball club took a trip to Bath to watch a Superleague match between Team Bath and Celtic Dragons. The stadium had a brilliant and electric atmosphere and the teams played incredibly throughout the game. The match was very fast paced and they scored almost every minute. It was really fun to watch and the music and pyrotechnics made it especially exciting. The crowd were all very enthusiastic, a lot of them were wearing face paint in support of their favourite team, making the game even more exhilarating.

It was a very close and gripping match beginning with Team Bath being down in the first quarter. Throughout the rest of the game both teams were neck and neck until the very end when Team Bath scored the winning goals, taking the final score to 56-53. The Team Bath players were all very friendly and at the end of the game they came around and signed our tickets or merchandise and spoke to us. We all had a fantastic time, we were lucky to have watched such a close and exciting game and it was a great experience for all of us. Thank you to Mrs Bennett and Mrs Hoskin for organizing it all.
