U15s Devon Cup success

U15 footballers played in the Devon cup on Thursday at home to Spires of Torquay.

They rang rings around the opposition, despite Spires trying their best. The first goal came from Jakub Wojtowicz 15 minutes into the first half, followed by a return goal by Spires. Richard Hamlin then put THS ahead to make it 2-1 at half time.  It didn’t take long for THS to race ahead with 2 goals within a minute from Sam Cottrell. Spires fought bravely but were out played with two more cracking goals from Jakub and Nathan Standen making the score 6-1. Harry Harris, yet again, played a good game in goal, making some exceptional saves. The boys are now through to the next round. The team consisted of Adam Chamberlain (C), Toby Warren, Barney Butt, Craig Smith, Richard Hamlin, Zac Thomas, Nathan Standen, Sam Cottrell, Harry Harris, Jakub Wojtowicz, Harrison Welsh, Leian Hunter, Harry Varnell -Stephenson and Max Rendall. Man of the match was Jakub, not just for the goals, but for an outstanding game all round. Well done boys.
