Members of the Creative Writing Club were keen to take part in this year’s Rotary Young Writer Competition, on the theme of Wonderful Water.
Receiving special commendations from the judges, were Emily, year 8, who wrote a passionate report about the March for Clean Water she attended, and Jessica, year 7, with her imaginative poem about water and self-awareness.
However, the winner, whose entry will go through to the next round of the competition, was Heidi, year 8, with her beautiful, powerful poem about rain.
