Year 10 girls STEM visit local company HepcoMotion

A group of Year 10 girls had a visit to HepcoMotion as part of their ‘Get Girls into Stem’ programme.  The group had talks from a current Apprentice employee and former THS student, Bea, and also Design Engineer, Kate.  Both talked of how they had found their way to engineering and why they enjoy their roles at HepcoMotion.

The girls were then taken for a tour of the building to see the different departments, including the factory floor where production takes place.   From initial design to packaging, it was so interesting to see how many people work together to create solutions for customers.

Many thanks to the HepcoMotion staff who took time to talk to the students.  They all came away inspired and with information needed to progress their careers in engineering as they move onto GCSE and beyond.
