Year 10 students receive AQA Unit certificates

A group of year 10 students have been working hard in their Alternative Provision class to gain a series of AQA certificates. Today they received the certificate for the Managing Difficult Emotions unit.

Students provided some insight into their sessions:
‘It has helped my social skills and how to control my emotions. I have developed courage and resilience’
‘I have learnt social skills and it has helped me fit back into THS’
‘I have ASD and this has been a helpful lesson as I find interacting with others difficult. It helps me understand how to handle my emotions’
Mr Morrell who teaches this class adds ‘It is a privilege to work with some of our finest students and explore lifelong skills. We look forward to our next unit which focusses on Photography Skills Through Nature’.
