Year 9 visit to the Orchestra

Yr 9 GCSE students attended the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at the Exeter Corn Exchange. 

On the 8th November our year 9 GCSE music students were invited to listen to music from the B.S.O at the Corn Exchange in Exeter. Presented by Associate Musician, Patrick Bailey, the concert explored genres and styles throughout the history of music to tell the story of how music developed over hundreds of years. With music from J.S Bach, J.Haydn, Dvorak .William Goodchild and the Beatles, this concert analysed works that have been selected from the AQA board of exams which tie in with their areas of study. In February 2018, students will also have a fantastic opportunity to see the BSO in full, performing ‘Heroes & Monsters which will include Movie sound tracks from; The Mummy, Dracula, Silence of the Lambs, Jurassic Park and many more.
